Information about the position:

Develop and execute country-wide energy management strategy with a focus to maximising the efficiency of filling station and Electric Vehicle charging infrastructure
Responsible for grid connection optimization e.g. design optimization, peak shaving and load management
Implementation of battery storage projects
Harmonize improvement measures, proactively implement measures across the countries and track their execution status
Raise awareness of energy management throughout the organisation, bearing in mind OMV’s Group target of becoming a net-zero-business by 2050
Extensive knowledge on ISO 50001
Analyse energy consumption patterns across the organisation, propose measures to optimise energy management and implement identified solutions
Preparation of reports, analyses and studies
Best practices sharing by monitoring technology and making proposals for energy reductions projects
Establish a budget for sustainability projects across the entire Retail organization
Identify measures/projects which may be eligible for Local or EU funding i.e. PV and Heat Pumps
Lead training sessions on energy management for the attention of service providers and users including preparation of best practices guideline

Job requirements

University Degree - master, preferrably Technical or Economics
Min. 7 years of professional experience,
Slovak language – native
English language – C1
German – advantage
Experience in project management, energy management and building automation
Deep understanding of the technical infrastructure and equipment of buildings, preferably in a Retail business environment or EV charging infrastructure
Experience with battery storage technologies
Experience in optimizing existing grid connectione
Experience in monitoring and steering suppliers and local teams
Excellent analytical and communication skills
MS Office proficiency is a must
Ability to understand, define and document processes
Very strong international communication skills required
Highly developed negotiation skills and emotional intelligence
High intrinsic motivation, flexibility and passion for work & ability to work and act freedomly and to be accountable for shown results
